Liebe Freundinnen und Freunde, Unterstützerinnen und Unterstützer,

das Jahr geht bald zu Ende und wir wollen uns dafür bedanken, dass Sie uns auch 2008 unterstützt und begleitet haben.
Trotz der wenig ermutigenden politischen Nachrichten aus Sri Lanka können wir Erfreuliches von der free education unit berichten.
Der Schulbetrieb entwickelt sich weiterhin gut und zeigt erfreuliche Ergebnisse. Selbstverständlich fand auch dieses Jahr eine Perahera statt, ein traditioneller Umzug der free education unit.

Dennoch geht auch an diesem Projekt die Finanzkrise, die derzeit die Welt erschüttert, nicht spurlos vorüber. Während sämtliche Kosten in Sri Lanka aufgrund der Krise steigen, lässt hier in Europa die Bereitwilligkeit nach, das Projekt durch einen Besuch der Bogenvillya zu unterstützen.
Umso wichtiger und aufmunternder ist es, dass ein Projekt wie PAINT FOR LIFE sich dazu entschlossen hat, die one world foundation zu fördern. Inspiriert durch einen Aufenthalt in der Bogenvillya, kam den Initiator/inn/en Andreas Barth, Kerstin Kussmaul, Cécile Nordegg und Jonathan Berkh die Idee zum diesem Projekt. PAINT FOR LIFE schafft einen internationalen Kunstmarktplatz, der Künstler/innen und Galerist/inn/en vernetzt, um Kunst zu veröffentlichen und zu verkaufen. 100 % der Einnahmen der PAINT FOR LIFE Foundation gehen an Bildungsprojekte wie die one world foundation und das Ithuba Skills College in Südafrika.

Das Projekt startet mit einer Kunstauktion am Montag, den 8.12.2008, um 18 Uhr in der Hofstallung des MUMOK / Museumsquartier Wien.

Dear Friends and Supporters,

The year is coming to an end and we would like to thank you for your support and backing in 2008.
Despite the not very encouraging political news from Sri Lanka, there is good news about the free education unit. The school, the pupils and school operations have continued to develop
well and show gratifying results. Like every year there was a Perahera, a traditional parade of the free education unit. However, the financial crisis which is currently convulsing the world is also leaving its traces on this project. While all expenses in Sri Lanka are increasing due to the crisis, the willingness to support the project with a visit to Bogenvillya is declining.

It is therefore all the more important and encouraging that a project like PAINT FOR LIFE has decided to support the one world foundation.
The idea for the project was inspired by a visit to Bogenvillya of the originators Andreas Barth, Kerstin Kussmaul, Cécile Nordegg and Jonathan Berkh. PAINT FOR LIFE has created an international art market place which links up artists and gallerists in order to publicise and sell art. 100% of the revenue of the PAINT FOR LIFE Foundation goes to educational projects such as the one world foundation and the Ithuba Skills College in South Africa.
The project is starting up with an art auction on Monday, 8.12.2008 at 18.00 in the royal stables (Hofstallung) of the MUMOK / Museumsquartier, Vienna.
